First of all, make sure the surface is free of weeds and even. The flatter the ground, the more beautiful and straighter the end result will be. Then the posts are put in the ground.
The posts should be 60 to 80 cm in the ground. This ensures that the fence is firmly erected and will not easily be blown over. An auger can help you make the holes for the posts easier.
If you order the posts directly with the do-it-yourself package, just fill in the desired height of the fence. We automatically add the extra centimetres you need for sufficient strength.
To protect the posts against wood rot and mould, we offer you the option of ordering postsavers with the do-it-yourself pack. These postsavers are applied around the posts with a roof torch. They ensure that the life span of your posts is at least doubled. Our online manual describes exactly how to install the postsavers.
